This is one of the oldest card games of all time. The game involves a couple of players around a table, with a dealer who controls and calls the game. Blackjack can be played both in land based casinos and in online casinos.
In online casinos you can play Live Blackjack which is the same as the one played in land-based casinos. The only thing needed is a good and fast internet connection if you are going to have a live online dealer. You get to play with a real life dealer at a real table while you stay home and dry.
The card rules
The game is known as 21, because its aim is for every player to get a score of 21, or close to that number. After the end of every game, every hand is counted, or rather; every card in a player’s hand is counted. The player who gets 21 in total or closest to this number wins. The game is as simple as that. But first, the player must know the value of the cards.
Value of the cards
An Ace is either a 1 or 11 and this depends on the player’s choice. The numbered cards will have a value equivalent to the number on its face while all the other cards with pictures will be worth a ten. These are the rules of the game and they cannot be changed to suit a person’s interest or the owner of the game. Match fixing is not allowed and integrity must be maintained at all times.
Playing the game
The player places a bet, which is some amount of money. Then the dealer supplies the player with two cards, placed upside down. The player looks at the cards and makes sure no one else sees. Now the player has to make a decision on what to do. The options are either to stick, hit, double or split. These are the four moves a player can make in a game depending on the total value of the cards in his hand.
